Making a third party program available to all users in a computer - Microsoft Community.Zoom App installation method (PC version) – Zoom Guide

However Microsoft Edge and Chrome were available for the users once installed. I have tried to look for solutions by googling stuff.

Somebody somewhere said to put a shortcut to these programs in the Public Desktop, but when I did that and logged in as another user, the shortcuts were visible in the desktop but did not work. Instead I got error messages saying that file "has been moved". My next approach was to figure out the difference between the programs that were available to all users and those that were not.

It seemed to me that the programs that are installed in "program files" or "program files x86" are available to everyone, but those installed in the "AppData" of a particular user folder are not. So I've been thinking of copying and pasting the Zoom folder and the Teams folder in the admin "AppData" into either "program files" or "program files x86".

However, I've been wondering if there is a way to set up the computer so that programs downloaded and installed from a browser can be installed into these folders and not in the "AppData" folder.

How to make a third party program available to all users in a computer? Home Home Windows Windows 10 Installing an app for all users. Hi If a computer with Windows 10 20H2 has many user accounts, how do you install an app, found in the Microsoft Store, so that all users get this app already installed in their accounts? Thanks Bye. If so, with Windows 10 20H2, how do I access those services? Deleted Deleted wrote: well what if you are not a busienss? If so, how is it done? No, a private user can't access and use MSFT store for business, as the name suggests, it's only for businesses that have the Azure Active directory and other subscriptions.

HotCakeX Too bad as, for me, it would also be very useful for pivate users to be able to conveniently manage the UWP apps on a computer with multiple user accounts. Well, usually that feature is used by organizations that have lots of computers, not 1 computer with multiple users.

Very well. Cancel Submit. DaveM Independent Advisor. Hi Michael If that app was downloaded from the Microsoft Store, then that App is tied to your Microsoft Account and you cannot share that with other users on your PC If that is a 3rd party application, then if you put a shortcut for that application into the Public Desktop folder, that will appear on all users Desktops. Thanks for your feedback.
